Player of the Day - Tim Sexton, RHP

Sexton, whose arguably been the Dodgers best minor league pitcher this year, continued his dominant 2009 performance with 6.1 shutout innings to lower his ERA to 2.72, second in the California league. His walks and home runs allowed are down, his strikeouts are up. I would like to see Tim promoted to Double A and watch how he reacts to facing better competition.
