Player of the Day - Jerry Sands, OF

Sands is up to a league-leading 14 home runs, 3 more than the next guy, and he's third in the league with a 1.103 OPS. The walks, the power, the low strikeouts, everything looks great. But I just can't shake the feeling that this is mostly a by-product of playing in the PL. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

Everyone else that plays in the PL is also playing in the PL, and Sands, right now, is the best. That's gotta be encouraging.

Now he may have a Brockian hole in his swing that will stand no chance at the higher levels, but if he were a true high-ceilinged prospect, I'm not sure what more he could be doing to show it!
