Players of the day - Great Lakes' pitching staff

It's the third straight 3-hit shutout for Loons' pitchers and they've extended their scoreless innings streak to 31. Eovaldi lowered his ERA to 3.38 and Martin raised his team-leading strikeout total to 114, which is good for 8th in the league. And of course there was JonMichael Redding's 6 innings of one hit ball yesterday, preceded by Aaron Miller's brilliant no-hit bid on Thursday. Great Lakes also clinched a playoff birth with their win, the first in their young history. With their recent dominance on the mound and very potent offense, the Loons look to be the favorites in their effort to take the Midwest league title.
