Player of the day - Nick Akins, OF
Akins hasn't been quite as dominant in Ogden as he had been in the AZL, but his numbers are anything but disappointing. He's struggling against lefties, which is weird for a righty. His OPS is a very respectable .858 in Ogden and .967 overall. He's showing plenty of power with 20 doubles and 11 home runs. He's also walking more in the Pioneer league than the AZL. It should be very interesting to see what Nick can do in full season ball next year.
