Player of the Day - Pedro Baez, 3B
Going into 2008, Baez was the Dodgers' 10th best prospect according to Baseball America. But trouble handling Low A pitching dropped him in the rankings. He did decently well after a demotion to the hitter friendly Pioneer League and has started off surprisingly well in High A this season. His plate discipline is still a problem and will be the skill that determines how far he goes in pro ball.
