Player(s) of the Day - JonMichael Redding and Chris Withrow, RHPs
One of the better starts of the year for Redding, who's been very up and down this season. He lasted only 1.1 innings and allowed 6 earned runs in his last start, but gave up just 4 ER in 17 innings prior to that. He loves pitching at home, posting a 2.42 ERA in Midland compared to an 8.44 mark on the road.
Withrow has also struggled in May, so it's nice to see him with another dominant performance. He's allowed just 2 earned runs and struck out 15 batters in his last 10.1 innings. Chris' main problem is walking lefties; he's surrendered 13 free passes in 18.2 innings against them. This will improve if he develops his changeup into a reliable offering.
