Matt Kemp - 4 for 5, 2B, 2 R, SB, CS

William Juarez tossed 6 no-hit innings on the way to his 1st win for Vegas. Juarez struck out 10 batters and walked just 2 while facing only 1 batter over the minimum. Kemp and Mitch Jones had big games: Kemp's 4 hit night raised his average to .300 and Jones was a triple away from hitting for the cycle. Loney is hitting .265. The 51's have a pair of noon games tomorrow and Monday.

Double A - Jacksonville lost 9-7

Chin Lung Hu - 2 for 5, 2B, 2 R
Xavier Paul - 1 for 5, RBI, SB, CS
Anthony Raglani - 0 for 4, R, BB, 2 K's

Mike Megrew - 3 IP, 5 Hits, 8 R (7 ER), 3 BB, 0 K's

Mike Megrew lost his 4th as the Suns couldnt hold onto an early lead. Megrew has now allowed 20 ER in his last 10 innings and his May ERA is 9.43. Ramon Troncoso threw 3 scoreless frames and Mark Alexander allowed just an unearned run over 2 innings, but the damange had already been done. Hu hit his 18th double of the year and is hitting .350. Raglani drew yet another walk and Paul is just 4 for his last 18. Dunlap appeared as a pinch hitter but struck out. Jacksonville leaves Tennessee after tomorrow's 2pm contest.

High A - Inland Empire lost 8-7

Jamie Hoffman - 1 for 3, RBI, R, 2 BB
Blake DeWitt - 3 for 5, 2 2B's, RBI, 3 R
Lucas May - 2 for 5, HR (10), 3 RBI, R, PB
Russell Mitchell - 0 for 4, RBI, BB
Travis Denker - 3 for 4, RBI, CS
Ivan De Jesus - 1 for 3, HBP

Javy Guerra - 5.1 IP, 3 Hits, 4 ER, 5 BB, 6 K's

Javy Guerra struggled in his first and last innings of work as the bullpen couldnt hold onto a lead. Guerra walked the bases loaded in the 1st before allowing a 2 run double. He then retired 10 of the next 11 before the 6th, when he allowed 2 more walks and wild pitched a run in before leaving. Jordan Pratt allowed another run to score and that was it for Guerra. A very Jekyl and Hide performance. May hit his 1st HR since May 11th and just his 2nd of the month. DeWitt is on fire right now. He's 11 for his last 15 and has hit safely in 9 of his last 10 games. He's hitting .312 in May. Denker also just keeps on slugging and is batting .350/.414/.504. The Empire heads back to San Bernardino for a 7 game homestand, starting tomorrow with Rancho Cucamonga at 5pm.

Low A - Great Lakes lost 10=3

Josh Bell - 1 for 3
Preston Mattingly - 1 for 4, 2 K's
Scott Van Slyke - 0 for 3, BB

Starter Arismendy Castillo struggled en route to his 2nd loss and the Loons couldnt catch up. Castillo allowed 6 ER in 2.2 innings, raising his ERA to 6.27. Bell hit in his 12th straight. Mattingly got his single a day late. Van Slyke drew his 11th walk. A name to watch is James Peterson: he didnt play at all last year but has gotten off to a great start through 8 games. He's hitting .387/.472/.742. Though he's 23, he's a good hitter and should earn a promotion to High A in no time. Great Lakes returns home for 2 more games with Lansing, starting tomorrow at noon.
