Player of the Day - Tony Delmonico, C
Reaching base 4 times is nothing to sneeze at, though Delmonico's opening day performance was a big tease. While the .311 batting average may look good on the surface, it belies his massive strikeout total (34 times in 34 Games). He's walking a lot, which is a good thing, but his power has really dropped off this month. It could be the grind of catching, even if he's getting regular days off. This year is more about learning anyway, so take whatever offense he gets as a plus.
