Double A - Jacksonville won 5-3
Chin Lung Hu - 2 for 5, 2B, RBI, SB, CS
Xavier Paul - 1 for 4, R, BB, K, SB
Cory Dunlap - 0 for 4, 2 BB
Anthony Raglani - 0 for 5, BB, K
Jon Meloan - IP, Hit, ER, BB, 0 K's
It took 13 innings but the Suns pulled it out. Jon Meloan blew his first save and walked his first batter of the season. The game was tied 2-2 going into the 10th, when Wilkin Ruan singled, was sacrificed to second base and driven in by "Guess Hu" (I'm going to trademark that). But with 2 outs, Meloan allowed an RBI double which tied the game. Then in the 13th, Jacksonville scored twice on a bases loaded walk and a wild pitch. Brian Akin, who pitched 3 hitless innings, earned the win. Anthony Raglani extended his streak of reaching base to 14 games. Cory Dunlap has walked in each of the past 5 games. Raglani, Dunlap and Xavier Paul all have 10 walks on the season. The Suns finish up their series in West Tenn tomorrow at 9am.

Ramon Troncoso - 1.2 IP, 2 Hits, 0 R, 0 BB, K
The 66ers scored 4 runs in the first inning and held on to win by a single run. Javy Guerra is still having trouble harnessing his stuff, as evidenced by his 17 walks in 15.1 innings. Jordan Pratt, Jacobo Meque and Troncoso combined for 4 innings of scoreless relief. Lucas May drilled his 5th double of the season and hit safely in his 10th straight game. The Empire plays a morning game against Stockton tomorrow at 10:35am.

Low A - Great Lakes won 2-1
Trayvon Robinson - 0 for 4, 2 K's
Josh Bell - 1 for 4, RBI, 2 K's
Kenley Jansen - 0 for 3, K
Clayton Kershaw - 6 IP, 3 Hits, ER, BB, 12 K's
Great Lakes won in dramatic fashion, scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th. Francisco Lizarraga started it off with a single, which was followed by a single from Matt Berezay. After a passed ball advanced the runners to 2nd and 3rd, Josh Bell singled in Lizarraga. Then Eduardo Perez hit a sac fly to center that was misplayed, scoring Berezay and ending the game. Clayton Kershaw set a career high in strikeouts and walked just one, a very encouraging sign after his disastrous debut. In the 2nd inning, Kershaw allowed the first HR of his professional career (In his 52nd inning) and that seemed to wake him up. After that, he allowed just 2 weak hits and flat out dominated. His fastball reached 96 in the game. The hitters in general are still struggling, but hopefully a comeback win like this can spark a fire in their bats. After a travel day, the Loons begin a series in Clinton, Thursday at 3pm.
