Xavier Paul - 0 for 4, BB, 2 K's
Cory Dunlap - 0 for 5, RBI
Anthony Raglani - 0 for 4, BB, K

Jon Meloan - .2 IP, 2 Hits, ER, 0 BB, K

Well, it turns out Jon Meloan is human after all. Down by 2 in the 9th, the Suns rallied and tied the game 4-4. Meloan came in for the bottom of the 9th, but allowed 2 singles to start the inning. He then collected a strike out and a ground out. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Meloan uncorked a wild pitch that scored the runner from 3rd and ended the game. It's the first run he's allowed this season. Meloan was preceded by Eric Cyr (5 IP, 2 ER), Carlos Alvarez (2 IP, 0 R) and Wesley Wright (1 IP, 0 R). Chin Lung Hu had a big day, He lifted his average to .289. Not a good day for the rest of the bats, though Marshall McDougall had 3 hits, while Luke Allen and Luis Maza each had a pair. The Suns host Huntsville tomorrow at 4pm.

High A - Inland Empire won 6-5

Ivan De Jesus Jr - 0 for 4, R
Lucas May - 2 for 5, K, 2 PB
Russell Mitchell - 3 for 5, 2B, 2 RBI, K
Blake DeWitt - 0 for 3, BB, K
Jamie Hoffman - 1 for 4, R

Ramon Troncoso - 1 IP, 0 Hits, 0 R, 0 BB, K

The 66ers came from behind to pick up the win. Marlon Arias struggled, allowing 5 ER in 4.1 innings. But the bullpen kept them in the game, allowing just 2 hits in 4.2 scoreless innings. Cory Wade picked up his 4th win of the season, allowing a hit and 3 walks while striking out 3. Mario Alvarez allowed a hit in 1 scoreless inning. And Ramon Troncoso picked up his 3rd save with a perfect 9th. Troncoso has struck out 14 batters in 8 innings without allowing a walk. Though he's 24, he may get some consideration for a bullpen spot in the next few seasons. The hitting came through for the Empire tonight, with Russell Mitchell having a good game and Drew Locke hitting his first homer of the season. DeWitt and De Jesus Jr didnt get De hits. Hoffman, May and Mitchell are hitting .333, .340 and .361 respectively. Nice to see some production from the middle of the lineup. IE concludes their series with High Desert tomorrow night at 7pm.
