Double A - Jacksonville won 7-5

Xavier Paul - 1 for 5, RBI, 4 K's
Cory Dunlap - 1 for 4, BB, 2 K's
Anthony Raglani - 1 for 3, 2B, BB
Chin Lung Hu - 1 for 1, 2B, R

The Suns fell behind early, when starter Alvis Ojeda walked the first two batters of the game and allowed a double to score them both. Carolina scored again in the inning and twice more in the 3rd. But the Suns chipped away at the 5 run lead, scoring single runs in the 4th and 6th before tying it up in the 7th and, following a pinch hit double by Chin Lung Hu, took the lead on a 2 out 2 run HR from Luis Maza. Matt Riley pitched a pair of perfect frames for the save, striking out 5 of the 6 batters he faced. Hu's pinch hit double was his 12th of the season, good for second in the league. He's hitting .336. Paul's 4 strikeouts raise his season total to 34 in 27 games, though he's walked 12 times and is still hitting .286. Raglani hit his 7th double of the season and picked up yet another walk to keep his OPS over 1.000. Dunlap has reached base safely in 9 of his last 10 games. Jacksonville stays in Carolina 2 more nights, starting tomorrow at 3:15pm.

High A - Inland Empire lost 3-2

Ivan De Jesus Jr - 1 for 3, RBI, BB
Travis Denker - 0 for 3, BB
Lucas May - 2 for 4, 2B, K, CS
Blake DeWitt - 0 for 4
Jamie Hoffman - 2 for 3, 2B, R, BB, OF Assist
Russell Mitchell - 1 for 3, K

Javy Guerra - 6 IP, 5 Hits, 2 ER, 4 BB, 8 K's, WP
Brent Leach - 1 IP, 0 Hits, 0 R, 0 BB, K

Javy Guerra tied his season high in innings pitched but the 51's fell short. Guerra, coming off a brilliant outing (6 IP, 0 R), allowed single runs in the 3rd and 5th innings. Both runs came on doubles. Guerra struck out at least 1 batter each inning, including striking out the side in the 2nd. Jamie Hoffman stayed hot, clubbing his 7th double of the year while raising his average to .346. Lucas May hit his 8th, and is hitting .325. However, May was caught stealing for the 5th time this season and has yet to steal a base safely. The Empire stays at home with Rancho Cucamonga tomorrow night at 7:05pm.

Low A - Great Lakes lost 6-3

Trayvon Robinson - 1 for 2, R, BB, HBP
Preston Mattingly - 1 for 4, K, E
David Sutherland - 2 for 4, R
Josh Bell - 1 for 3, R, BB
Carlos Santana - 1 for 3, 2B, 2 RBI, BB, K
Scott Van Slyke - 1 for 4

Josh Wall - 5 IP, 5 Hits, 4 ER, 3 BB, 4 K's

Wall got off to a very rough start, allowing all 4 runs in the first inning. However, once he settled down, he pitched very well. He faced the minimum in his other 4 innings. His 3 walks in this start doubles his season total. Mattingly committed lucky number 13 and it's just a matter of time until he moves to the outfield. Carlos Santana hit a 2 run double in the 7th, while Trayvon Robinson scored on a double play in the first. The Loons host Beloit again tomorrow at 4pm.
