Double A - Jacksonville lost 9-5

Still, Jacksonville came up with 5 runs between the 4th and 5th innings to take the lead. But Luis Gonzalez and Mark Alexander allowed 5 runs in 2 innings which let the game get away. Hu's 0'fer dropped his average to .341. Paul, Raglani and Dunlap walked but combined for just 2 hits. The Suns leave Tennessee and head for Alabama for a 5 game series with Birmingham starting tomorrow at 4:05pm.

High A - Inland Empire won 3-2

Jamie Hoffman - 1 for 3, RBI, BB, K, SB

James McDonald - 6.1 IP, 2 Hits, 2 R (1 ER), BB, 11 K's
James McDonald was brilliant yet again as the 66ers won a pitcher's duel. McDonald, who was coming off a poor outing, struck out a season high 11 on the way to his 4th win of the season. He now has 65 strikeouts and 16 walks in 52.2 innings. At this rate, he's not long for High A. Mario Alvarez and Cory Wade combined for 2.2 scoreless innings. Denker keeps on raking, collecting his 8th double and 4th SB in the process. De Jesus Jr and Hoffman picked up stolen bases #6 and #8 respectively. DeWitt committed his 9th error of the season, while May had his 4th hitless night in his last 5 games. The Empire faces off with the Quakes again tomorrow at 5pm.

Low A - Great Lakes lost 10-5
Josh Bell - 2 for 3, 3B, HR (6), 2 RBI, 2 R, BB
Kenley Jansen - 0 for 3, RBI, K
Trayvon Robinson - 1 for 4, 2 K's
Josh Wall - 5 IP, 7 Hits, 5 R (4 ER), 3 BB, 4 K's
Miguel Sanfler - 3 IP, 5 Hits, 5 ER, 4 BB, 7 K's, 4 WP's
Josh hit the Wall in the 5th as the Loons were doubled up by the Lansing Lugnuts. Wall faced 1 batter over the minimum through the first 3 innings before giving up 3 runs in the 4th and a pair in the 5th. He's allowed 15 ER in his last 13.1 innings. And Miguel "Wild Thing" Sanfler had another off night. 4 wild pitches and 4 walks led to 5 runs. He has a fastball that can touch 95 and a nice breaking pitch, but his command has been far too inconsistent this season. Josh Bell extended his hitting streak to 13 games with his 6th shtonk and his 1st triple. Bell's hitting .400 with 4 doubles and 4 HR in his last 10 games. Preston Mattingly had the night off. Great Lakes looks for the split with Lansing in tomorrow's series finale at noon.
